I picked up one of the 5-8 versions of this. I am really impressed. On a deflection board the blank is eerily similar to but just a bit stiffer than the MH Ocea Plugger Full Throttle-an outstanding rod of about double the price. Given it has KW SiC guides and a great action, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a better rod for the money in my opinion. Similarly priced rods like the JW Ghost Hunter and Shimano Grappler both come with alconite guides (the Grappler does come with an SiC tip top) which are good but SiC is a step up both in performance and cost. They're all great rods tho man, depends on what you like-I find the Ghost Hunter a lot stiff for my taste and the PE 8 Grappler action shuts off a little earlier than I'd like. I've never cast the OTI so I can't give you any insight on that one. I'll fish my 5-8 on top water BFT so the 8-10 should handle 120lb'ers no problem.
