I'm going to have a group of 5-6 on the nov 7th trip. Hopefully my trip picker works better than the last 2 trips

 

Do they still assign you a spot and make you stay there even to tuna fish? It was years ago that I went but I remember having to jig against the drift because I was assigned a spot on the other side of the boat so my jig was effectively going under the boat. Never went back.

 

You will pick a spot when booking of course, although you really only fish your spot when bottom fishing, even then you can relocate if you find a area you like, a few will head up to the bow while bottom fishing.

For Tuna, you will have casting at the bow and down the Starboard side.
All Jigging is done down the port-side of the boat.

jbuyrum, I've had 5 trips booked in a row canceled on me. Hopefully better days ahead, starting Sept 26th.

Odds of Nov 7th trip being cancelled? Just curious from folks with experience whether the tropical storm predictions will cause for cancellation.

 

it was canceled I'm rebooked for early dec

 

My 36 Hour for tomorrow got cancelled 😔.
The difficult side for me is that my calendar doesn't allow suitable rescheduling.

 

If it makes you feel any better we canceled ours also. Weather has been terrible with the 10-15 knot forecast. The 15-20 they are calling for tomorrow night will be brutal. It’s been a bumpy June so far.

That is why I didn't do an open boat Saturday when I was in town... Kinda choppy.
