This question is for all the 'self-assured' macro-evolutionists.

Why did this behavior evolve? What porpoise :D does it serve other than entertainment or exhibition?

There such a smart creature to keep confined in a small space, I would imagine it was learned out of sheer boredom

I think some marine mammals use bubble rings to bunch up bait. Whales do it in Alaska, but here it seems just something to be playful with

Whatever the reason, it's totally awe inspiring.

It's the females that mostly blow bubbles....

The males (if you've had an opportunity to swim with them) are real 'horn-dogs'. Let a buxom human babe in the pool and they get excited and are drawn! Art appreciation....:D

So, next time you're on the boat, give them a respectful hat tip.

Pure entertainment. Isn't this the same trick we do when we fart under water? :D
