So Sami and Paul asked me a while back (toooo long ago to be exact, sorry about that, guys) to do something different on the OBX500 blank for Saltywater Tackle. After seeing all the new technology coming out I had an idea of blending a little of some classic rod making with some JDM styling. Here's what I came up with: Grade A cork rings, hand glued, shaped, sanded, filled(thanks to Silverking for the idea while I had brain fart), sanded, filled some more, and 9 coats of cherry stain. Mix that in with Fuji GMNSG SIC guides (unreal as to how hard it was to get these things, thanks lil bro and the usual Matagi suspects, topped of with some candy apple red nylons. It's definitely not for everyone. You either like it or hate it. I love the results but I lost count of the man hours that went into making this rod, that's why I won't ever do another LOL. Sami, Paul, hope you like it. Thanks for letting me post, fellas. http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f231/anuvat-t/DSC_1818.jpg http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f231/anuvat-t/DSC_1825.jpg http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f231/anuvat-t/DSC_1824.jpg http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f231/anuvat-t/DSC_1836.jpg http://i48.photobucket.com/albums/f231/anuvat-t/DSC_1834.jpg
