I've been using a Saragosa 6000 for jigging on recent trips but the reel feels under pressure when jigging up lures in deeper water say getting up to 200 and 300ft, using jigs from 150 to 300 grams.
I'm very interested to hear what size fixed spools you like for these depths/weights.
Also, do you have any other considerations picking a fixed spool reel such as retrieve ratio, line capacity?
you are def a little light w/ a gossa 6000 w/ 300g at 300’ in general, but how big and what gear i’d choose would be greatly influenced by what i was targeting more than anything else.
