    Jerry.. Before

This Lower trailing edge wing skin and flap bell-crank support hat section had battle damage and fatigue cracking.

After we re-fabricated them.. here's both new parts being drilled for assembly.

Before the Wing T/E skin had deep dings and corrosion.. the damaged sections were cut out / removed & re-fabricated.

    Swing with the wing!

Nice work there Charlie. You have MADD metal working skills.

There ought to be charters for the whole boat from works like that.

Wow I wish I had a project like that; looks like a lot of clecos and rivet bucking. The corsair is totally awesome, the sound of a radial it doesn't get much better. How does she fly? I have read that you had to be respectful to them due to the reverse gull wing and the huge prop.

    Thanks guys..

Preserving aviation history makes work less of a grind.. but it's still a lot of work. ;)

OutofControl.. The CAF makes all of their Air Show Pilots fly a T-6 Trainer for a long period before they get to fly the Corsair or P-40.. I personally only Bend Aviation Tin so I can't speak of the flight characteristics??

The Texas Commemerative Air Force / CAF WWII T-6 Trainer showed up at the G-Ville hangar Wednesday so I got you some shots of her.
