We caught some of these in Seward last year. There were biologist removing the earbones at the cleaning tables. They say they only grow 1/4" per year and are some of the best eating rockfish. There is a limit of 1 per person, we had to release several and they would just float away. They have strict rules and you can not deflate the air bladder and if a person has one and gets another someone else can't claim it as their fish.
I'll try to post a picture, I think she told me this one was 30 - 35 years old.
