lol
Yea but you can't eat it or sell it afterwards :(. :)
It would be a great toy for practice if you have the cash to spare. I got the opportunity to try one out a couple years ago and it was pretty realistic. You sure can't eat it but it's a lot of fun. With the screen on you can anticipate what the fish will do somewhat but turn the screen off and you are on your own then.

I think rod vendors at the fishing shows would benefit greatly for a tool like that because it would allow them to let the customer give the rod a real bendo experience under realistic conditions rather than a dead weight hanging off the end of the rod. The one I tried was at a fishing show in Australia and I still think it was awesome.
tried it in the ICAST show in Orlando, you can adjust for the size of the fish and the kind of fish you want to fight. Fish species ranges from tuna, gt to tarpon.
i picked a 50# GT, very realistic, the hard pulls, long runs, stops and digs and pulls again.

The company was selling it for $3500 if i remembered correctly.
Xmas present LOL
For some that plus their trusty right hand and no reason to leave home again. :)

Not really an issue,

you're not allowed to keep it anymore,
so nothing to sell or eat

Sad ain't it?
If you own a 110 foot dragger you're in pretty good shape though.
Only a matter of time before a few comms will want 51% of this. We'd obviously would be regulated to only two weekends of every year. :(
SIMFISH is a compact fishing simulator! You will be thrilled by the extreme realism of this simulator. SIMFISH's volume and weight has been designed so it can fit in every location you may want to use it.

Several species are available from trout to tuna and you can choose either freshwater or saltwater fishes or a mix of them.

SIMFISH comes with a mat, laptop and simulator. The angler stands on the mat and selects fish and start the fight with the buttons directly on the mat. The mat acts as a security that means that if the angler is pull out of the mat, the fight is stopped.

The systemcan be used with a range of rods/weights, with fish simulations from small trout to 60kg tuna!

The ultimate addition to your mancave or perfect for events, fun days, corporate days, team building or even just when the weather is bad and you cant get on the water!

TV/Display screen not included - the simulator is designed to be connected to a monitor or TV using a supplied VGA cable. Watch the video below for setup details and to see how the simulator works!

Wouldn't a person need to be versed in a language
in order to spot a spelling mistake in that language ?

An individual with the ability to formulate a two step
thought process would realize this.
Those who rely on their first emotional impulse to solidify
their view point would not.
Garriga, think back to when you were a little boy,
and you would watch professional soccer or baseball games,
and admired the skill these players exhibited,
wishing one day you could be as good as them.

Today is no different,
instead of ball games its fishing. :)
I think the simulator is a great concept for testing out rods and reels as well as a training aid. Dead lifting #80 or a couple jugs of water just shows that the rod has the back bone to lift it. Ever buy a rod based on advertising and recommendations and then when you were bowed up on fish found out that as far as you were concerned it was a dog and had to go? I have, it's part of the sport.

If you had put that same rod through it's paces on a machine simulating your target species in the store, you probably wouldn't have bought the rod in the first place. If you don't think that technology is a driving force in sport fishing, you might want to rethink that. New types of line, leaders, hooks, alloys and composites used in reels, nano and fiber technology in rods and now a fishing simulation machine that allows you to put it all together and test it under the most realistic conditions possible without ever leaving the tackle shop. That works for me.

I'm sure in the next few years these will become common place in high volume tackle shops. At the cost of a couple high end fishing combo's written off as a business expense, these shops will find that the simulator is the deal clincher. On top of that when these tackle shops have seminars species specific, you would be able to put that new information to test. A couple years after that you would probably find them in bars at fishing destinations in locations like , Wilmington, Miami, Key West,, Tampa. Destin, Orange Beach, Venice and all the other fishing hot spots.

I know that if I had tried a tool like this before my first tuna trip I wouldn't have been so shocked upon my first big hook up but on the other hand, that may have been an important part of the experience. All I can say is view things like this as you will, but if it's available, take advantage of it.

Dude, if you think a little good natured ball breaking,
with smilies attached is an attack,
your skin is too thin for fishing,
maybe consider scrapbooking or needlepoint as a new hobby.

Poor little butt hurt boy.
