Tipping your jiggs

I had a disscussion wit ha friend about tipping you jigs, but was curious about the action I would get.

I ude to do it with my diamond jigs.

I know the Buttly/ Knife jigs are designed for fluter action and get alot of their strikes on the down flutter.

But what if I had a trailor hook and stuck a squid leg on there,

Am I wasting my time? Am I hurting myself by restricting the action?

Anyone tried this with their knife/ Butterfly jigs?

Attaching squid leg on jig might work good bottom fishing, but for tuna fishing it might hinder the action of the jig. JMO

Some one like Ksong or Mcgolfer might give you a better answer than I.

I agree with you. I don't have much success with bucktail or teaser attached too though I heard someone got tuna on bucktail jigs. :)
