Anyone know any tackle shops that will do trades/cash deals? I've got some reels I'm trying to sell, that didn't get any play on the buy, sell, trade board. I.E. I would do a part cash, part swap on an Avet JX.

Southwestern parts in Dallas off of Mockingbird trade and buy. They are also a Penn.Shimano and Abu warranyt service shop.

tdwcapt, why not donate to Alan Tani for his kids fishing program? You can get the benefit of a tax deduction in your 2009 tax returns? Here's a link to them:

buying a reel from alantani.com - please read this first

You don't get any kind of tax deduction. From His site:

"i have a kid's fishing program that i am involved with. what i'm doing is to rebuild old reels that are donated to me, sell them, and apply that money to the purchase of gear more appropriate to the bay and inshore fishing that these kids do. i do not have non-profit status. hell, i don't even have a business license. this is all still done as a hobby.
