Is there a different Stella 20000 than the 20000 FA? I saw another post that asked if one was a FA or SW. IF so is the FA not saltwater friendly?

There are two types of Stellas the ones made for teh United States markets or the "FA" series and the Japanese Market Stellas called the "SW's". Same basic reels except the SW's come with an addition handle, some more lube and an aditional 16000 spool.

I have a 10000fa for casting and the SW2000PG both preform flawlessly

Ok so if I get the japanese version am I doing better or does it matter that much?

well here is the thing ...yes you are doing better becuase you get the extra spool which always come in handy when you have an issue or need to drop down or up in line class. Shimano may or may not service the reel here in the states.

Me personally I would get the japanese version, just my 2 cents
