I would imagine, just hard to clean, the sheepshead flesh is naturally sweet

i dip mine in an egg/milk mixture.

Its a big NO NO to ever let marine fish fillet's ever be touched by fresh water.

I wont even rinse my fillet's, I only pat them dry w/ a paper towl after filleting and before vacuum sealing

they are....ours even have teeth like sheep, hence the name sheepshead

no joke, open they're mouth, and they have teeth like a sheep, just smaller, but just as many of them I think

Ours have some sharp teeth too. When they are born they are female and the body is all red. After a couple of years they change sex and become male and that's when the front and back take on the black color.

This one is about 10 pounds.

That does not look anything like the sheepshead we catch down here in the gulf! That is one crazy looking fish. I think i saw it on "Finding Nemo".
