Will a Saragosa 8000 hold up to the stresses of jigging?

Depends on what you are jigging for. I have two 8000's that I use for snapper and other near shore fishing.
I havent heard of anyone catching AJ's, tuna or any heavy hitters of the sort with a saragosa 8k...

Well I will just stick to jigging with my stella 20000 or my 18000 saragosa.I used my 8000 with the oti 400gr and the weight was somthing I could have gotten use to.

Spineyman paired saragosa 8000 with OTI 400gr prototype and main gear start slipping after those AJ's.

Just used mine to catch a handfull of snapper this weekend but it was like using one of my trout rods.
