That's a 20-100 Rod. For me, I'd go 18K if I were running 100# and 14K if I were running 60/65# Talk to Zac about his recommendations on what would be the sweet spot for that rod but I'd guess it's closer to 65 than 100.
If you don’t mind the weight just get an 18k and buy a second spool- they pop up used from time to time. That’s what I did. 400yds of 100 on one. 500yds of 65 on the other.
Take it down to the Goose or send it to Basil and I'm sure they can get as much line on there as possible for you-I had gotten about 350 yds of JB 65 on a 14K Certate before I sold it. About all the options you have until someone makes a 16k haha
Well yes and no. Daiwa doesn’t sell it to consumers and doesn’t say where they get it so you’ll never know if aftermarket mag sealing is working as well I suppose. But I think (want to give credit where due) scooby over at tackle advisors has said it is very close to some mag sealing used in speakers and he has some YouTube videos of how to service mag sealed reels.
