what do you guys think i should get for this new reel. I picked up the reel at cabelas for 105 bucks. i couldnt pass it up. I will be putting 65# braid on it. Does anyone have a used rod they would sell? or a cheaper new rod. I am not spending 350 for a rod, as i would rather go fishin with the cash than have a pretty rod wishing i was fishing. Tj, Rick, anyone else, hook a brother up.

Wait for the Rod Riot, then either the american rodsmith triton or or Allstar gulfstream. Academy always has the 50-80# gulfstream, and its $29 during a rod riot.

if not take a look around for one of the shimano t curve rods you might be able to pick one up on sale

jared get in touch with tj and he can set you up with a great jigging rod that you could also use to bottom fish with or a 7 ft casting rod if that's what you want...rick

i was thinking of something i could use for all like you said. jigging, live baiting, snapper and small ajs.
