Any rock shore recommendations for casting and popping? PE 5-6 targeting GTs and amberjacks. Currently looking at the ripple fisher’s runner exceed series. Just wondering if there were any other rods to consider.

You could check out the Zenaq Muthos line. I have a Muthos Sonio, which is quite a bit lighter than what you’re looking for, but it’s the lightest in the Muthos lineup. I’ve been very happy with their rods, though I haven’t tried their heavier shore stuff.

Where are you fishing, traveling or will it be used in one location. I have a beautiful mc works 3 piece rod I bought to travel with but do to covid my trips got canceled. Let me know if you are interested.

If not the best shore rod is preference. Most jdm rock shore rods are built towards stick baits but will throw light poppers as well. Ripple, mc works, or yamaga would be my top three. Zenaq have a good reputation but I've never liked the action and have seen a lot of them blow up
