Owner Jobu hooks are a good choice. Owner Stinger Siwash is another option, but the Jobu is much stronger. Size, depends on your irons... You should probably go see'em at a store if you can. I use 7/0 to 9/0 for my hammered diamond jigs between 7oz to 10oz.

    Hi.

And not so much on your jigs. But flatten all barbs on your lures.

It's ever so interesting when you're wearing a lure with barbs still on.
Makes it a lot easier to release the fish without harm too.

I like the Jobu's. Pricey, but very strong and have a LARGE welded eyelet.

You guys aren't worried about those siwash hooks openning up on big tuna?

Theyre singles, much different than the leverage exerted on trebles which makes them open. Ive used them on big bluefin tuna jigging without issue.

i'll be targeting fish less than 60lbs so hooks opening should not be an issue.
