I just got my new LX in the mail and when I was putting it on the rod the reel clamp split in half. Before you say it, I wasnt putting it on too tight! My question is this. Do any of you guys know of an after market ALUMINUM reel clamp that has the same bolt spacing and will fit this reel? Thanks. Jason

I'll have to remember that the next time I use one for a sinker. I've been crimping the 400# mono around the spool. I wouldn't get my sinker back if I looped the mono around the reel seat.

I spoke to avet and they are sending me a gold aluminum clamp to replace it.

I tell you this thing casts like a dream for a reel that is supposedly only good to be used as a sinker!
