Russ, Chad, and I headed out this morning for our first trip in several months. The forecast for calm seas was right on with just a mild chop in the morning that laid down nicely in the afternoon. We headed out to the Primetime wreck but found other boats there when we arrived. Moved a little farther out to the Middle 21's and hit a spot that was good to us last summer. The kings were there and thick. Barely time to put the drift rod in the holder before the next hookup. Chad got his first on a fly rod and Russ caught the biggest of the day around 20lbs or so. I got the jigging rod going and caught a few keeper snapper and a small grouper while Chad got an undersize ling on a drift bait. We tried a few weedlines but no dolphin and only a couple uninterested ling to be found. Hit some spots on the way in but tons of boats out there everywhere we went. Heard some reports of good snapper catches but we never got it going very good. Will try again tomorrow. Bert
