I noticed on this board, that most folks that have something for sale ask for an extra percentage for paypal. If I sell something and just have a regular PP acct. Like just to pay for stuff bought on ebay. And l sell something, and the buyer wants to pay me through paypal. can I do this without a different Acct. and if I do this ,will paypal take a percentage for doing so?
I always thought you needed a sellers Acct. to recieve payments through paypal.

You do not need a separate account to sell. Paypal will automatically take 3%.

So the way it works if you buy $100 worth of jigs and pay with paypal, then the sellers account will be credited $97. As the seller you can just accept this as part of the overall deal, or you can add on a few percentage points to offset the fees. So if you were to give $103, then the account would be credited approx $100, instead of the $97.

Credit Card/Merchant accounts work the same way.
