    Hi ALL,
I am looking to spray paint a Stella Knob to match the color. I used it on a different reel. Which type I should use that don’t peel off after a few outings.

    thoughts?

Not sure if the shimano white rubber egg knob will fit, but it will dye quicker and be more of a true color.

Oh No! Is it a total lockdown? No going out except for essentials. I see a little San running around in 9 months. Lol. Let me know if you dye it and how it works.

Painting that knob is a baaaad idea :)
Paint won’t stick to that and stay there.

Dying is a better idea, but black?

I’m in the buy a knob you like camp.

I think spray paint will not stay on too. Too much work for one knob and might not come up good being the 1st try. Ok PASSED, buy a new knob:D

What color knob are you looking for? What shape, round or t-bar, and Eva or aluminum?

It's not so much about the paint as it is the preparation. Scotch Brite pads or sponges work really well for taking down the sheen and cleaning the surface with out scratching it

Maybe look at the lure dips and dyes. The dips are a paint with a chemical etch built into them. You might want to do white as a base, and then your top coat.

i know Maxel had a copper color knob. Not sure if they’re still around. I have a round Eva with a copper cap and maybe a copper shaft but not sure of the size I’ll check and let you know.
