Finally, a manly made treble. Tired of having treble's smashed or crushed? It would take one really bad fish to destroy the new Owner ST-76. The 5/0 is huge. 2 1/4" tall and 2 1/4" in diameter. I can barely stick it in my mouth. Perfect hook for huge GT's or YF's over 150 lbs. If the old standby owner ST-66 4X doesn't do the job, replace with the ST-76's. Very heavy duty.

I compared it to the VMC 8527PS 6X cone cut trebles in the pics below.

That must be a big hook if you could stick it in your mouth. LMAO.

Those look nice. Wire size appears to be twice the strength of the 6X VMC. 5/0 is probably to big for the GOM tuna. Do they come in 4/0?

Hey, thanks for bringing dinner over last night. She's doing a lot better today. If I can get away, let's hit the coast next weekend. I've got cabin fever real bad and need some comic relief. Even if the weather sucks, let's go. Heard the hoo's hit the rocks in pretty good numbers.

Tom & Jerry, (that sounds funny)

Hopefully we will be way offshore by the time you are eating breakfast. If not I'll PM you guys so you can meet the wild man. Tom, remember that sustain 8000 at Roy's that you posted on this board? I bought it right away and told them to hold it until I came down to Corpus.

I called them yesterday. What nice people. They didn't like the sound of the gears and are installing new gears for free. Even though the reel looks almost new, they didn't want it going out the door with that little noise. That's being honest. They have always been helpful and stock almost everything a man could need. Your lucky to have a tackle shop in town like Roy's. We have nothing in SA.

I must have been very bored yesterday to be taking pictures of hooks. I need to shoot something or put a hook in something before I go nuts. I hate this time of year.

Today's project is try a new device I bought from Randy. It's called PR knot tying bobbin. It's used aid in tying the PR connection. (braided line to leader)
I think it's the same as a mid-knot which is frustrating to tie for guys with big hands. Hopefully this contraption will get the wraps nice and tight. Here's a pic of the bobbin.
