am fixing to break into a couple old Penn Intl's ("post style" 50's & 30's) for a friend - to clean and lube and checkout. Are there any
tricks to working on these that I ought to be aware of? thanks

thanks guys.
DSG - thanks for the kind words, but honestly, it was the old flat spring, not the little helical one that gives everyone fits and alantani's tutorial on the 113/114 helped immensely
Alantani - thanks for the ref, I had studied that intensely to get ready - more or less psyche myself up - and am glad that I can attack this without too much trepidation that a surprize awaits! I also got the Penn Duradrag replacements in and as you noted the duragel is unevenly applied - AND many thanks for your excellent tutorials - I think I have them all in my archives for inspiration!
