ocea jigger question

    what do you all think its limitations are? how are the stock drags? anything need to be done or its it ok to fish right out the box. Was gonna use it for jigging and maybe bottom fish with it for snapper/grouper. I am loading it up with 65lb braid
    Any info is appreciated

    Which one? I have the 5000 and it puts out more drag than the specs say it will. I got over 40lbs of drag, and almost 500 yards of 80lb OTI deptfinder line. Theres nothing that the reel cant handle(somethings the fisherman cant).

    Here is a 100lb Aj caught with an OTI prototype rod and the OJ 5000 at 30lbs of drag [​IMG]

    i got the 3000 and it says 7kg of drag

    Thats the next one I will get, Have you checked the drag? I know you can add a cal's drag plate and carbontex drags and increase it substantially.

    we use these 1500 here and they work great. you should have no problem
