Hey All,

My name is Nick, I'm 32 and just moved to Austin. Been all up and down the West Coast and Western Montana fishing.

Spent last Tuna Season in San Diego going offshore a lot and smoked:

  • 25 15-35lb YFT
  • 65lb BFT
  • 2 25lb YT
  • Enough Calico Bass to kill a man.

Looking to get into the Austin Bass scene and hit Port A and Galveston a lot for Inshore and Bay. Looking to buy a PDL Kayak too for fresh and salt.

Also - probably going on a 56hour outta Port A in late September/Early October, unless a group of dudes wanna get down on a charter outta Venice....

If anyone has a yak for sale in Texas, lmk!

Welcome to the forum and Texas. Believe you will find some awesome fishing around these parts. As long as you leave everything about California behind, except for your fishing knowledge, you will fit right in.

Yeah - don't worry. I vote staunchly republican lol.
I'm just a freelance TV producer, so I was forced to live there for work. But I'm finally high enough on the totem pole where I could bounce out. I'm actually from Western Washington

Welcome to Austin. Fellow transplant from living in SoCal for a bit. Spent a lot of time going out from Seaforth and Fisherman's landing. Doing my first GOM trip over Memorial Day Weekend.
