I was wondering what the advantage is in using aluminum reel seats and slick butts on a popping rod? Dont that increase the weight?

    BTW nice wraps

some guys like Gold Aftco alum seats, and slick butts, not that there is a advantage. just what they wanted

it does increase weight a little.
but some guys arent all about the weight.

he now has a Kickass rod for popping and trolling, pretty much allround rod.

the slick butts allow you to get the rod out of a rod holder easier than a butt with foam......rick
