NEW JERSEY FISHING REPORT

    This trip was with one of my JPR pro-staff guys.
    we started out in the dark.
    the Boat a new 39 VENTURE
    this is one sweet ride View attachment 8773

    we wanted to go for tuna.
    and made about a 55 mile ride in the dark running 30KNTS smooth.
    the albies were all over and we had our rods ready. View attachment 8775

    the fishing was in samll flurries.
    and we got some rods bent with albies View attachment 8776
    not very big but fun View attachment 8777

    the day was fun and we hope to get back

    good job Paul, glad to see you made it out again! I just got a chance to check my PM's and noticed you tried getting ahold of me. Looks like I missed out! Any YFT or BFT caught on this one?

    The little tuna on the deck has very short fins you sure its an albacore?

    In Jersey we call false albacore albies.

    kind of like how people call false albacore bonito down here.

    albacore are longfin for future reference :)

    Yeah, the 39 VENTURE is one of the best CC i have been on this year.
    we had it out 93 miles a few weeks ago..in some $hit, ran 25knts in the dark..without getting beat up.

    we had a 36 triton out in some slop eariler this year..it ran nice.
    but the VENTURE ate the slop up.
