New here and looking to do some jigging for Tuna in '09. Hoping to pick up a few tricks and tips. Having a custom rod made now 5'6" Graphite blank with a Tyrnos 16 on it spooled with 80 pound test PowerPro. I primarily fish out out Virginia Beach, VA, Oregon Inlet, NC and Hatteras, NC.

Looking forward to fishing in '09

Happy New Year

lou you should try to go down to north carolina for amberjack jigging. it is a great way to be introduced to jigging since youll get a fish on every drop :)

Welcome aboard Chumlord,
I used to go down to Hattera in winter for bluefin.
I still have a video which shows we fed bluefin right behind the boat.
I couldn't jig them because Capt didn't allow me to use jigs.
Unfortunately those days were gone.
