Guy caught a squid like that on our trip jigging for BFT.

Never seen any squid that big in my area. Sometimes i would get small 1's and the blacks loved them . What we call blacks are gag grouper. Then there is what we call a true black grouper that we get well south of my area like around the keys.

I caught the squid in the above picture. I caught it on my first trip out. It didn't fight like a tuna but it wasn't dead weight either. I thought it was a fish till it came over the rail squirting ink. I remember it being fun.

We gave not, the boat is in the ship yard now but we should be bringing her back to pier 19 on Friday.

It’s been the worst winter for cancellations that I have seen. Next week isn’t looking great either.

Yes. Just annual stuff, some minor repairs. There’s always some welding to be done every time we go into the yard.

Nothing like dock work and sanding and all that fun stuff. We used to have rebuild our engines every year back when we ran the offshore 11 hour trips everyday. Like the Owner of the boat says, speed cost money and hurts people.

Capt Matt, how does 2/13-14 trip look at the moment. I noticed Monday looks great but the winds are increasing after midnight. I have 5 spots on this trip and hoping to be able to go out. I hope the good weather drifts a little toward Monday-Tuesday. Right now Sun-Mon window looks better.

Forget that. Have white streamers on top of the waves at 30 knts. So nice to try and anchor up on places when it's blowing like that. Gonna blow here Sunday.
