It wasn't a long journey but I did encounter some of those famous NJ drivers.

Spent an evening with Kil at his shop and the array of hardware is very broad and complete. He has a 40 foot wall covered with the best Japanese jigs and the opposite wall is covered with Poppers. Although I promised myself I'd be good I could not help but invest in some Runbohs, Tailwalkers and Rangers - all required gear for Panama. Being the nice guy that I am, I did leave one Pink Runboh on the wall for the next customer :p :p

The Cubera would not leave the Pink Runboh alone last trip Raza had 5 or 6 monsters in one day on it!

He has a very specialized but broad selection - all the gear is the best of the best and its nice to see someone offering a one stop shop for your jigging/popping needs. He has all the OTI casting and jigging rods and a mind blowing selection of Jigging Master rods from 150gram to the mighty 600g that I was extremely close to buying but I'm going to opt for the blank and a custom acid wrap job by Ralph vs the factory rod. The Jigging Master 350 was probably my favorite out of the bunch - so light!

If you're going on an overseas adventure your're sure to find what you need at his shop. Oh - nice selection of HPA bags and Popperstores too !

    Dan,
I was somewhat surprided you picked up the pink colod Runboh not realizing Raza killed Cubera snappper with the particular color runboh. :)
My shop is not mecca, but an adult toy store. :) Everybody is smiling when they look around the shop.

It is already one year after I opened my shop last September and I only have half of products which I'd like to carry at my shop. But I feel I am in right track as I am enjoying finding products, reviewing products and talking with many fishermen in many different parts of the world.

I am not going to carry lots of products as I'd like to carry products after I test them or some knowledgeable fishermen recommen them highly.
However, I like to give fishermen opportunity to select what they want by providing a few different products. I'll have at least 7 - 8 different quality brands of popping rods soon.

After looking at Kil's shop photos I now think I know what goes thru my wife's mind when she shops for jewelry! Now, if I could only figure a way to transport a tackle box the size of my wife's armoire, I'd have it made.

....so much to choose from, so little time to try it all out...

Are all of those toys available thru Kil's internet site?

    Wow Kil.

You have obviously spent too many days in the shop putting it together all nice and neat.. I liked it better when it was just a bunch of boxes on the floor; a couple things on the walls, and everything a mess. That told me you were fishing too much to worry about such trivial things such as displays and such.. Rod racks even???...You sir, have to get back out on the water..lol

I tried to get rod racks free from rod companies, but it never happened. As many more rods are coming soon, I had to get some rod racks. The rod racks turned out to be very nice and I became a dealer as I feel many fishermen might need such nice rod racks to organize their rods at home. The problem is I spend most of my time to find products, not to try to sell them. But it is fun. :) Within 6 months, I think I get most rods/reels I want. I am searching for a few more jigs and some are in the process of manufacturing according to my spec. Hook bonnets will come for all sizes.
More lines are added like Seaguar Premier or Western Filament's Kevlar assist cord. I might introduce a couple of new split pliers. Page Ranking knot bobin will come.
But fun part is in search of popping lures. There are so many quality poppers around, it will take long to get popping lures as I am pretty conservative to select them. But I eventuallly get what I want as they are also my toys as well as for other fishermen. But I am not neglect to go fishing and you still see boxes on the floor. :)

It proves my theory that fishermen pick colors what they like without asking to fish. :) If you didn't have any success with pink Runboh, the pink Runboh might sit at my shop for a year. :)
Internet is amazing. After Bret caught a nice yft with 100g Tailwalk Gunz, i think many popping fishermen have one or two Gunz in his/her arsenal. :)
There was a time many look for red bellied Shibuki like a fashion.

I caught many fish on that lure.....I should have retired it last year! However, I kept using the old battered lure and finally lost it earlier this month :(.

    :p

Each time I go fishing , I always bring with me base painted Heru lures , some without eyes on them and they still catch fish when they are there . I am a firm believer the lures must catch the fishermen first and then the fishermen catch fish with the lure .

As for colour , I think the actions of the lure is what makes the fish strike it in the first place although certain flashing from the hologram will attract certain fish with sharp eyes such as king mackerel n barracuda , etc. .

Well equiped shop where grown ups can behave like kids again . The best of luck n success to you Kil .

    Jon .

That's what my concern was when fishing the runboh. Peter, Dan, Macho and Sergio all had mentioned to take it off and save it. I took the risk, luckily i still have it.. It is now retired. Probably going to shadow box it.

    Jon,
I have to select color not based on what I like, but based on what other fishermen like. :)

I'll send a PM to ask Komodo GT popping and some info about tackles.
