is that thing loaded with 130lb spectre or 80lb the photo's make it look like 130lb. is this going to be your chunking and grouper rig? what rod did you mount it on?....rick

you will like it. I have a pair of them and was able to squeeze 600 yards of 80 JB with 50 yard momoi on top. I would grind the 3 "knobs" off of it and get rid of the auto clicker disengage.

I have about 550 yards of JB130 on it. Rick, I'm still in the market for a rod. This will be my chunk and heavy bottom rig. So I'm probably going to go with a 50-80 or 50-100 class rod.

I feel I'll be able to sqeeze at least 25-30lbs of drag out of this reel, though I'll most likely fish 20 at strike. Since I'm moving out of the NE and back home this summer I figure I need to stock up on some supplies Look out fish!

I have one too and love it....I just cant wait to use it.
