Anyone here into music?
I mean really into music. The Love of sound.
I'm not talking about hotel California
And moon dance, or what had been played to death on mainstream radio.

A deeper appreciation of things not so common but very good is what I'm asking.
There is so, so much out there that doesn't get its due. Or get heard enough. Give it a try. I could post a thousand more great pieces that you have never heard before.

Lately been fishing inshore listening to wreckless kelly and mofro.
I grew up with a dad who was a musician and i was a rodey for as long as i can remember. I carried speakers keyboards and microphone stands growing up. Im probably good at untangling fishing line since i dealt with mic cables power strips and power supplies. My dads getting old but i have to admit there is nothing music wise that can beat a sax, trumpets , base guitar , a keyboard and a organ going at the same time. I love music its a big part of my life.my old man played for a 6 piece band ( or more ) as long as i can remember. Our house was always the place where the "jam" session was playing.hes getting older so he doesnt play as much.He was awarded the best pianist/ keyboard/ organ player in town about 10yrs ago. He still plays but not as much since alot of the band has also gotten old and health issues through out has taken its toll on them. He even traveled with " fake elvis" as i call him for a while.i still love music and if you come visit or fish with me its on somewhere. I even tell my kids to sing even though they dont want to. Haha . Even going out and seeing local talent brings back memories. My old man still plays and i get a kick out of it when i go see him. He lives out of town so it happens less And less. One great thing from when i was younger was being woke up to the piano instead of the lousy ass buzzer clock i have now. Hes also been blind since he was about 8 so seeing him do so well amazes me.as of late been dealing with health issues so this hits at home. Sorry for the rant but music has a special place in my heart.

Wow!
With the exception of being blind this could be my story!
My old man is a jazz pianist.
He's been playing professionally my whole life. He's been called a " legend and a renaissance man." In his world.
As far back as I can remember my house has been filled with music.
Many jazz musicians have been to my house to jam and listen to music when I was growing up.
I've also seen him play live with various bands he put together a thousand times. He is also getting old now and rarely plays live anymore but a few short years ago he had a steady gig at a popular restaurant/music venue in New Hampshire. Both my grandparents on his side were also accomplished pianists.
Holidays at their home growing up always turned into piano duet jam sessions. This early part of my life burned a love for music into my brain I guess. I have a brother and sister that have also been in successful bands.

Nobody else ?
I remember someone here commented on some music from a commercial or a video here being “cool music” and it was.
For awhile now I’ve had a suspicion that there were some music nuts, like myself, here.

Interesting Jack.
They put out a wall of sound that's for sure.
Remind me a little of these guys,I know a few of these cats.boston area guys.one of them used to host a local jazz radio show. Great sax player. My father has played piano with a few members of this band.

Wow,
I enjoyed the yoshida bros.
I didn't listen to your first post because I don't have an hour right now. I will listen to it when I get home though on better equipment.

If you truly enjoy what you posted find some time and a good set of headphones and check this out.
I adore this band and this performance. Not for everyone obviously, but it you understand and enjoy music, these guys are awesome.

A few other favorite things of mine that you may like:
