Merc. EFI vin or ID location

damn.. I am racking my brain trying to remember where it is at. I did the same thing on my yammi motor when i got insurance for the rig. Ifn I remember correctly, I found the serial number close to where the trim motor and lower cowling meet. my yammi numbers look like this ( X is substituted for the last 3 numbers) ...... 61HLS00XXX

Keith, on the merc efi, the vin tag should be on the side of the mounting bracket. .. its a sticker type tag... about 1.5"x2.5"

you were right on bret. i just needed to turn the motor the other way in order to see it. Thanks
