SS: SOTOBO SPECIAL
HS: OOMASA SPECIAL (not sure why its "H" instead of "O")

SOTOBO in Japanese means its was tested and developed for a specific area for targeting Hiramasa (king fish) off the shores of Chiba prefecture. The king fish here are found off shallow terrain with smaller bait, meaning a soft tip for manipulating lighter/smaller jigs but a strong bat/belly is required to get the fish off the bottom before being cut off. Lighter weight rod with strong bat power for kings around 10kg.
NB574SS Length 6'00" Jig cast60-170g Line PE#3-4 Drag max8kg

HS: These rods are specifically made for targeting trophy size king fish in deeper water. They have a overall faster action with a stronger/stiffer blank. For fish up 15~20kg. Usually HS rods from MC are designed to handle thicker PE and heavier jigs with an overall shorter rod length. An overall "heavier" rod compared to the SS variant.
