Took a husband, wife, daughter and 11 year old son out last Sunday. Didn't leave the dock until 10:45. Start fishing at 12:30 and get a sailfish hooked up for the 11year old. We release it and start trolling again. Hook up with an estimated 450 blue that the wife fought for an hour. Passes the rod to her husband who fought the fish for another hour and we get it up close to the boat when he lets go of the rod. Penn 50 two speed. Poor fish going to drag that thing around until the hook pulls or rusts out.

Not a penny for the rod and reel or any tip. He says he wants to come back but I'm going to tell John to fish this cheap SOB

We set our drags at 11 pounds at strike. 60 lb mono. Its like you say most people can't even handle 11 lbs. The drag was pushed up to full when he let go. Worst part was how close the fish was to release. I could see the double line about five feet below the water.
