I was wondering if anyone here successfully used a high capacity lithium ion battery jumpers for their electric reels. There are cables on ebay such as this one that plug directly into the battery on one end and jumper battery on the other.

I was wondering if there are any gotcha's since the solution seens straight forward.

    thanks in advance.

In Japan there are some lithium batteries sold for electric reels that I've used with success - mine is a Panasonic. I also tried a Battery Tender 35AH equivelant lithium and it does very well for my fish finder duties but died quickly under heavier deep dropping duties, didn't hold a charge as well as the Panasonic. I use a Shimano Beastmaster 9000 with them... gave up on the Batter Tender and use a car battery up front and the Panasonic at the stern when fishing two rods.
