Looking for a new light set up for BFT/YFT. Fishing the NY bight. The guys who fish here know the class of fish we get. I have 2 maestros already and love them but would like to try other manufacturers as well. Fortunately no concern about budget. I’ve been really looking into Ripple fisher but other recommendations are more then welcomed. Can someone with more experience speak on behalf of this.
The 2 rods I’m looking at are:
RF Aquila 82 3/6
RF Big tuna 85F

Look at Yamaga blanks canary 85/4 , very versatile stick , a little faster action than the 85F but in my opinion the 85F is a little slow for me , kind of like old school soft tuna rods

Light tuna popping rod choices

I'm looking at a few rods for light tackle fishing smaller poppers & stick baits when they are feeding on small micro baits. Rod will target sub 100lb class and paired with 8k Stella These are 3 on my radar, any feedback is much appreciated. Salty El Maestro 82M Ripple Fisher Big Tuna 85F...

I just got the yamaga 85/6 it is a bit soft but I'm sure it will be fine just not used to it. hopefully ill get it bent soon.
