sticky for advertising? maybe if he was a board sponser... Don't shoot I didn't know, I just thought it would be nice to be easily accessed.
Ron, just received some 300 lb kevlar from you.......looks good, and fast shipping....thanks......jeff
I received the Kevlar from Ron yesterday..... Great looking for assist hooks. Two 500lb spools..... Super fast shipping. Thanks Ron!!!!
I'm in the market to build some assist hooks...quick! I stopped by the Eagle Claw outlet store and found some bulk Lazer Sharps for 75% off. Score! 9/0 "Offshore Tuna-L113MG" on the left for rigging stick baits (a la Nomad); 4/0 "Live Bait Magnum" on the right for jigging (a la Gman). Will the 500# work with both these hooks? Or, should I step down with the smaller hook?
Any photos of rigged hooks yet? 4/0 with 500# gman style; 9/0 with 700# double-walled, serve and shrink. Knot and serve superglued.
Just got my two 300 ft spools. Really nice kevlar cord and really cheap. A lifetime supply. Thanks Ron.
What size is everyone using for mid sized tuna and AJ jigs? Any advantages/ disadvantages to the diff sizes?
4/0 with 500# gman style; 9/0 with 700# double-walled, serve and shrink. Knot and serve superglued. Dan You should put the assist cord thru the eye from the other way. It will work better for you. It puts the point in a better angle to hook the fish d-a
Dan, build your assist to the length jig you are using, usualy 1/3 the length of jig. For long jigs (a.j.s) try the seriola, available inbarb or outbarb. here is the 14" nagamasa with appropriate assist.
Just got my two 300 ft spools. Really nice kevlar cord and really cheap. A lifetime supply. Thanks Ron. I'll carry Tufline Kevlar soon, but I don't know how they sell 300 ft/300 lbs for $30 at Ron's. The price is lower than cost. I highly suggest to buy them until they last at Ron's tackle.
Dan, I have been using the overhand knot on my 7/0 and 9/0 hooks with glue and shrink wrap. I am new to this jigging and this may be a dumb question, but how do you serve a hook? Thanks for the help Chris
Has anyone bought from Ron recently? I placed an order last week, and the card was never charged even though I received an auto order confirmation email. Tried calling the number and noone picks up. I have a tuna trip coming up this Friday, and need some kevlar cords fast. Kilsong's shop is near my house, but his website states he has none in stock.. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks !!
