when spooling a reel with braid for jigging how long should the momo topshot be.

And why is it necessary for momo or is it.

It doesnt make sense to me to have a long topshot if it stretches so much or mono at all.
I am planning on spooling an accurate 665 2 speed
    any suggestions

You need a mono top shot as a shock absorber, it doesnt however need to be long. My top shots are only 6' max

    poot,

I don't think of it so much as a top shot, but rather a leader that I replace when it gets too short. I tie straight to the jig and snip it off if I want to change it.

I'm also learning to snip it off and retie it after every good bite :)

Try going through the solid ring twice and using a Uni

This demo only goes thru the eye once:

How to tie a Uni knot

You should tie the leader to a solid ring, that solid ring goes into a split ring which attaches to the jig for quick change applications
