Took two jigging virgins out to pop their cherries yesterday and think I may have made some converts. :)

When the boat looks like this most of the day I’d say it was a good day jigging.

Haven’t had a trip like this in some time. Had pretty much nonstop action every spot we hit. First drop down showing the guys how to vertical jig hooked up and landed a 40” cobia on a diamond jig. AJs, almacos, cobia, Jack crevalle, African pompano, barracuda, even a large blue runner.

Even the large barracuda wanted in on the action:

Oh yeah, figured I’d post a fishing report since no one on here fishes anymore. They just buy and sell stuff.

Great report! Man it looks like it was hot out there with no wind.

This was my only day off this week and the conditions were near perfect (except for the heat) to run out at full throttle if I wanted to. Couldn’t let this one pass so made a few calls to see who could go with me last second.

We actually fished a few different spots and hooked up each location. Ran 80 miles out but never made it deeper than 160’. I was intending to get out around 300’ eventually.
