Will be in High Point, NC this weekend. One of the largest rod building shows in the world. I'll try to get some good pics to paste up.
Is it open to the public? If so where do I get details? Also Masonboro (Dave), I left you a private mail either on Tuna360 or deepjigging.com to call me. Randy (Richmond).
Man, I am going to miss this and I can kill myself for forgetting!! Have a great time for those going and please post tips and pics on popper and jigging builds! Scott
Hey Jim,just curious, why do they have it in High Point? Because Rod Maker magazine, the host and organizer of the show, is published here in HP.
Man, I am going to miss this and I can kill myself for forgetting!! Have a great time for those going and please post tips and pics on popper and jigging builds! Scott Will do. I'm meeting the NERBS boys tomorrow to commision a 200g, spiral wrapped split grip jigga, with some sick threadwork. WOOT. WOOT.
i wanted to get some OTI prototypes to show. and a few JM. but was told they had it covered. no need for more stuff. should be a good show.
Here are some pics from the day. Only got a few before my battery died, which was a little dissapointing that I forgot to charge it. It was good to meet Paul. Lots of good conversation. We pulled and bent and studied a bunch of blanks today. Mike at Riley Line Up My and Pete testing blanks our new 200g jigga's.
meet a few 360 guys there. it was great meeting you. those mudhole VJ blanks went pretty fast. i talked to them and they said they wish they brought more.
I noticed it less vendor and crowd than last year. I don't see Doc Ski, Tom Kirkman, Hiro, and few more top rod builder this time. And we meet with Paul (JPR) at MudHole boot. Nice talked with Mike (Riley Rods), and Billy (NERBS). I couldn't believe it when I stop by at NERBS boot, Billy still remember my name. Jim (EasternTackle): I saw you couple of time, I want to say hi but I'm not sure it was you or not. http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k402/ichibahn_01/SANY0372.jpg http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k402/ichibahn_01/SANY0371.jpg http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k402/ichibahn_01/SANY0375.jpg http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k402/ichibahn_01/SANY0377.jpg http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k402/ichibahn_01/SANY0378.jpg http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k402/ichibahn_01/SANY0385.jpg http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k402/ichibahn_01/SANY0384.jpg Billy inlay foam handles...... http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k402/ichibahn_01/SANY0383.jpg Billy Vivona http://i326.photobucket.com/albums/k402/ichibahn_01/SANY0408.jpg
I wish you had grabbed me!!! Pete and I spent a bunch of time trying to pick blanks today and were sort of focused on that.
I wish you had grabbed me!!! Pete and I spent a bunch of time trying to pick blanks today and were sort of focused on that. You stop at the right place (Riley Rods). Mike has good selection of jigging blanks, and great price. It's better quality and has more backbone than MudHole Jigging blank.
ichibahn. great meeting you. i was at the mudhole and batson boths alot some good stuff. i will be at kevins demo tommorrow. he actually came up from VA to do the demo for us a few weeks ago. its worth watching again. did anyone see the new titanium frame amtac guides? i saw a few of them when i went down there in oct. now the whole line is out. stop in checkem out.
It's better quality and has more backbone than MudHole Jigging blank. We felt they were more parabolic and had more strength than the Mud Hole blanks. But we liked the 200g RR blank much more than the 300g RR blank. The 300g is faster. I don't know if you saw the 200g RR shorty. It is awesome, but we wanted longer 6' rods for working the bottom.
