How to replace knob on Jigging Master Wiki reel?

862 Views 14 Replies 5 Participants Last post by  day0ne
Instructions looked pretty easy until the head of the screw broke. Not sure if it had loctite on it or not?

Ideas?

The next best thing to do is drill it out. You’ll need another shaft to replace the drilled out shaft. If the t-nar is a JM item and came with a shaft you’re good to go. If you need a shaft, I know 7seas in Thailand had them in stock a few months back.

Makes sense! So it’s just glue and pressure holding the shaft in. Once the screw broke off their is noting permanently holding the shaft anymore. So what Explorer said is a good idea, heat, grab hold and twist it off. Good Luck!

Perfect! Then once you get the old knob and shaft off, you’re all set.

I hate when companies loctite it for life! Just a drop goes a long way. I know it cost more than just the t-bar but sometimes it’s so much easier to buy the arm and knob together. I tried removing a ball knob once with an accurate and bought them together ever since.
