    G'day fellas
    Here are a pair of MONGREL LAKOMAI KAU in all their glory. These are based on home cooked GT popping blanks rated for PE10+ but have been built extra tough and heavy for land based use made for and only available here in Australia

    We whacked a 18k spheros loaded with 100lb suffix on drag tested it to 18kg and beyond eventully breaking the line over the loaded rod. The rod didnt break a sweat at 45 degrees

    You made the blanks??? Or the blanks are made in Australia?
    Where are they available in Oz? & how heavy is the rod?

    kinda like a uni butt/stora butt joint from aftco. nice rods

    Hi guys
    Thanks for the nice comments. I tried to source decent popper blanks from various sources to use in my lineup but failed so had to invest in getting some done to spec. Getting a tip into butt 2 peice system was way out of my budget so I ended up with the 2 piece seat as above and the Fuji graphite version to bring the butt and tip sections together
