Has anyone heard how the trip went this weekend?

60+ YFT to 130lb
Grouper to about 40lb
Snapper to about 15lb

First night they were at Gunisson and Auger the second night.
Most of the YFT were caught on jigs and chunks and few from top water.

To 130? Sounds like a really good trip. Can't wait for the reports.

About 10 YFT came off the kite as well.

Charlie and Grescobia up on the bow were the anglers of the trip with 8 and 7 YFT each!

Did you finish you 7 1/2 ft rod?

I was on the trip, and it was one of the better trips on the Big E. I didn't get the 7 1/2 rod built because the Sustain 8000 FE doesn't ship until next week. If the reel would have been here I would have built the rod. I would have done much better on the poppers too! I watched Grescobia use the Accurate spinner on the prototype rod and it seemed to work very well!! With the news that the Big E will still be fishing next year, I'll have the rod built before the next trip.

I wish you could have been on the trip, it was a good one!!

Is Big E out of business? I went to their site and read something along those lines, but I am reading on forums that they might be coming back. Can anyone help me with this?
