I might be heading up there in April or May and would like to plan a fishing trip, probably for salmon or halibut, if I end up going. I've never been to the area and have found lots of information about fishing opportunities, but it's almost too much information. I'd like to hear some first hand accounts of fishing there-time of year, areas to fish, lodges or guides, etc-if anyone has any.
fished there as a kid one summer back in the early '80s. all I can say is: GIANT LINGCOD!! also april might get you into the spring Steelhead run. good luck and post a report! -Brian
I fished BC in Apirl 99' for steelhaed. I only caught dolly varden, but had a great time. I liked BC a lot.

I does seem a bit early. I have fished Vancouver Island in June and July for salmon. It's been a while since I last fished there but had good luck out of the Campbell river area. Check to see if Lucky Louie is still in operation.
