Actually I missed fishing in icy weather for a long time as it has been mild in winter here. I don't know when I went ice fishing in NJ because of no safe ice on lakes. When we went on boats, we had to soak rods in water as all guides are frozen. There were times the boats had to turn back as they couldn't get out the harbor because of ice.
Our group plan to go cod fishing out of Cape Cod, MA in freezing weather this Sunday.
They are pretty hardcore fishermen. :)

Now, that cold weather looks miserable. I'd rather sweat on my reels than have to use a ice pick on them. Is that an Avery reel in the Pic?
