I was looking at the NERBS listing of the composite GUSA blanks and saw a 6' composite blank with the model name Slayer. Anyone have any info on this rod as it compares to the Dragon other than what I can read on the spec page? Stout enough to handle 100lb tuna with 80lb braid? Max drag the blank can handle? I don't see a corresponding non-Composite blank listed?

I want to build my second rod and was thinking of trying a composite Dragon but the composite Slayer caught my eye. What is the action difference between the composite and standard rods, more give in the tip?

My first rod was a standard Dragon that is posted in the Rod Builders forum.

    Thanks

Ed, send a PM to Billy40. He knows as much as anyone regarding GUSA blanks.
