GPS Numbers Conversion Question
Not sure where a thread might this go, if it is in the wrong section... feel free to move it.
I am trying to convert long/lat numbers to upload to my Raymarine C120. I wanted to check and make sure I am converting the long/lat numbers correctly.
I understand that something like:
95 30' 45" converts to 95 30.75' (45 divded by 60 = .75)
but where I am confused is when the seconds are greater than 60 like:
27 49' 595"
would this convert to 27 58.91667"?
I am headed out this weekend and want to make sure that I am inputting these correctly.
