Had great luck with my GHP150 on a 72" 180# BFT on the Cape. It was smooth, very comfortable with good lifting power. Highly recommended!
Haha you thought differently Patrick? A great rod for tuna or tile fishing if build conventional. Benny
Been wanting the GHP-76-100 . Wait for Covid to [email protected] off and I can drive down to pick up one
Don’t wait they may not be available when you can drive down. Order and have it shipped definitely cheaper than time and gas spent. Benny
I bought it and it kinda sat around for a couple of years since one trip after the other got blown out by bad weather. We were blessed with decent weather and an obliging tuna. My buddy borrowed it for a very hot YFT bite in Panama last year, said it was his fave. Tough blank that's easy on the back. I used a Daiwa Catalina 6500H with 600 yds of Threadlock 50#, no problem with 20-23# of drag. Very comfortable.
Why is it that whenever I do a search on ghost hunter popping rods all I get are pics of Benny doing lift tests with it? The 150 is a good rod for its price. I’ve still got mine in my aresenal.
Haha! I was actually the only employee at the time. I met Yong at a fishing show we started talking and he asked if I would want to help him build his new tackle shop. It was an offer I couldn’t refuse and the rest is history. Benny
