The fishing has been good. Weather is as good as it gets and the seas have been calm for the most part. The summertime offshore fishing has begun. The rip lines are starting to form up producing Dolphin, Wahoo, and Marlin. The tuna have been biting although it has been hit and miss. One day they bite great and the next hard to find. Still the right place at the right time for tuna, but the tuna bite will steadily get better as conditions improve. This past week had a lot of ups and downs. We've had guests in from one end of the country and each different group went home with a different story. Capt. Bob, Capt. Josh and myself fished almost every day last week. We had mixed bags from one day to the next including amberjack, tuna, dolphin, and two different Marlin opportunities. So right now as you will be able to see from the pictures this is what were catching. Starting tomorrow you can add red snapper to the catches as well and the wahoo, which were a no show for us this past week will certainly be biting as well. This is the best time of the year to fish offshore out of Venice, La. so if you want to experience some of the best fishing the Gulf has to offer and have a great time give us a call.
